How to Make Decorative Mug Handles  Pulling handles may be a little tricky for beginner potters. This method is an easy way to roll out a handle and add texture to it at the same time. Choosing a transparent glaze or and underglaze will really accentuate the impressed design. Several different types of stamps are available online. Antique wooden textile stamps work very well with this technique as well as the soft rubber types used in the video below. For the video I used a Mayco brand stamp  Mayco Leafy Stamp .

Custom Dinnerware Coming up with new dinnerware designs can be exciting and rewarding, of course the flip side is it can also be very frustrating and daunting. Some of the prettiest glazes I use are the most temperamental. This creamy white and ocher glaze is one of those tricky ones I'm thinking of, when all goes well in the kiln it is both elegant and rustic if that's possible.
